On my way home from work I was trying to think of something that I could make that was easy but delcious. Since I was craving Italian at the time, I immediately thought of Manicotti! These cheese stuffed noodles are no fuss and are great for left overs. Here is my recipe for a no boil manicotti that you can whip up in 15 minutes and throw in the oven.
The ingredients you’ll need:
- 2 Jars Spaghetti Sauce
- 1 cup of water
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 package Manicotta pasta shells
- 8 ounces Ricotta cheese
- 1.5 shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 cup frozen spinach
- 1 tsp basil
- 2 tsp parsley
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- Pour 1.5 cups of spaghetti sauce at the bottom of the 9X13 pan.
- Mix the rest of the spaghetti sauce in a bowl with the 1 cup of water.
- Mix the ricotta cheese, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, egg, 1 tsp basil, 2 tsp parsley, 1/2 tsp black pepper and spinach together.
- Start filling the uncooked Manicotti noodles with a spoon or your hands and place them in a row in the 9X13 dish.
- After the noodles are all placed in the pan, pour the rest of the sauce on top of the noodles.
- Sprinkle the rest of the cheese on top.
- Cover tightly with foil and bake for 6o minutes and uncover the foil and bake an addition 5-10 minutes.
- Serve and enjoy!!
I just got this all assembled and ready to go in the oven and then realized there is no oven temperature mentioned in the recipe…
